Bath

Last weekend, the Petts had family in town so we set off on an adventure to Bath.

Being a statue on the pedestal

Ruby didn't want to have her picture taken

We started off at the Roman Baths themselves. It was amazing to be there in the baths that had been there for thousands of years. I just can't get over the history here!

You can see the steam if you look closely in the picture on the left.

Next stop was the Bath Cathedral. So pretty, but we didn't go in. I loved the tree carving near the door.

Next we went to the Fashion Museum, which I didn't have high hopes for, but it totally exceeded my expectations. They had a fabulous collection of gowns as well as a really impressive dress-up collection.

Ruby didn't want to get her picture taken, again ;)

The Fashion Museum is in the basement of the Assembly Rooms where Jane Austen attended functions while she was a resident there. The girls couldn't help but get their dance on in that huge Octagon Room.

In front of the Jane Austen Museum with the statue of her. Sadly, we didn't go in because it wasn't pushchair accessible and Ruby was having a really rough day. So we ate dinner then wandered around in some shops until it was time for our train to leave.

It was so pretty, but much colder than we were expecting which coupled with Ruby being particularly cranky that day made for a fun, but not spectacular day. :) It also just wasn't as fun without our travel buddies, the Petts.
