November

So much happened last month! It flew by before we knew it!
We started out transplanting a pecan tree from our Bishop's yard. We thought it would only take around 30 minutes to dig up, but over an hour later we were still there digging and digging...

The tap root was taller than Ruby!

Here it is all planted finally!

Another big project we took on was to "pick up" a free shed and transplant it to our yard....much easier said than done! Rob has been working on it every spare minute for weeks and it's finally close to being finished!

We had some really unusually cold days for Texas a few weeks back. It was amazing to see the enormous icicles on the water park at the Athletic Center.

He hit his mouth at the store one day and ended up with a blood mustache. So cute and sad!

Today is brought to you by the color PINK!

Some of my favorite ladies!

My awesome brother John sent me some of my Dad's sourdough starter that's been handed down from the pioneers...at least that's the story and we're sticking to it! We've enjoyed lots of yummy sourdough creations recently!

We got to do to a Dallas Stars game courtesy of HP. It was a fun triple date with some of our favorite friends who work for HP! We must be getting old though because for 30 minutes on the ride down we were all gushing about how much we love our minivans.

We got a dehydrator for Christmas from my parents and got to open it early and enjoy some dehydrated apples. Yum!

Grace bought the fabric and made herself a pillow

Rob and I chaperoned a youth dance and had fun with the props in the photo booth!

We have so much to be thankful for!

RIP Bella

Our poor little fish Bella has been ailing for weeks and today she passed. We had a little funeral in the yard for her and Grace said some sweet words about how much she'll miss her little pet.

October in Pictures

Morning after Trunk or Treat breakfast of champions

We love checking on the kids every night before we go to bed. They are so sweet and often sleep in funny positions.

A big wind during a storm one night blew down the bird house in our back yard

I participated in a weight loss/health challenge and as part of it I asked my Facebook friends to help me out with some extra exercise. For every "like" I did a squat and for every comment I did a burpee. I was sore, but happy I was able to do it afterwards! I was really happy that I was able to complete the weight loss part of the challenge too - I lost over 6% of my body weight!

A couple Saturdays ago some friends of mine and I planned a "MAN-date" and surprised our husbands with a fun day out. We all met up later for a dinner date night at our house. I am so happy we have such wonderful and fun friends!

Joy School Halloween party

The girls each designed and cut out their own pumpkins. Benji was in bed because it was late and he was a little grumpy :)

Halloween bento. You can't really see the black witch and bat and cat or the bat punched into her sandwich. It's so fun to do holiday lunches!

 Cute, big, first grader!

I loved this little bit of school work she brought home last week :)
We went to HP earlier this week and Ben's highlight was riding the motorcycle there, if you can't tell by his face ;) Too bad someone (ahem, Ruby...) drew on it before I could scan it in. This kid loves anything with wheels and a motor!

It sure has been a fun month!
