Easter

We've had a lovely Easter season. It started out with the Frisco City Easter Egg Hunt held at the soccer fields. It was a windy day and there were a ton of kids, but it was fun to get out and do a little egg hunting (or rather, picking up).

This morning I made everyone sit on the couch for a few obligatory Easter Sunday pictures.
I love everyone's faces.

The Easter Bunny came to our house this morning and left a puzzle for each girl and a whole bunch of eggs with chocolate and money for them to find hidden throughout the house. Grace was so excited to make $4 in change from the egg hunt! :)

We were supposed to have dinner with our friends, the Barons, but their kids got a nasty gomboo that we didn't want to share with them so we each made half of Easter dinner and then swapped half of the parts we made for a delicious feast with only half the work :)

After dinner we finally got around to dye-ing eggs.

Grace has recently learned how to wink. I adore this winking picture of her!

Ruby

This is Ruby's favorite outfit. Rhinestone cowgirl all the way!

This little stinker has decided that she was actually kidding about wanting to be potty trained, and as such has decided to refuse to use the potty anymore. It doesn't matter whether she is in panties or pull-ups, she won't go in the potty. She was totally only using panties with few or no accidents, even at night there for a week or so. Argh! Needless to say, it's driving this mama bonkers!

She also makes the funniest faces. She has some amazing crazy eyes faces going on. It's hilarious. I wonder what she's thinking in her head when she's making her crazy faces. Too bad I've not been able to capture any on film yet. She also repeats every single thing that Grace says. Most of the time she has no idea what she's saying, but she says it anyway. It makes it so hard to hear what anyone is saying though and it seems to be helping her vocabulary and pronunciation improve.

Ruby is usually really easy going, but every once in a while she's stubborn as a mule. If has decided to do something herself and anyone dares help her even a tiny bit, she'll throw a fit and do it over again. For instance, she chooses all of her own clothes and if she's having trouble putting something on and fussing about it, and I happen to even brush up against the article of clothing, she'll take it off and start all over again. Or, the other day I asked her probably 5 times to close her dresser drawer that she'd left open. Finally Grace closed it for her since she was tired of hearing me ask. Ruby immediately screamed, ran back to her room, opened the drawer again and closed it. Whew. She's exhausting! But she is very loving and snuggly and sweet too. She loves holding Benji and is a great helper around the house. I sure do love her!

Artwork

Grace's drawing of  herself as a ballerina. She currently wants to be a ballet teacher when she grows up.

Grace drew this one for Ruby. It's a Mickey Mouse family - all of us as Mickeys. I love it.

She loves to draw and is getting pretty good too!
