This Is The Life!

On Friday Grace enjoyed her afternoon snack while lounging thusly:

What a life!

Decorating

Grace loves to help decorate anything. (Though I'm not sure that it's as much decorating as it is lining up...)

Mama's leg decorated with all the leftover stickers from Easter egg decorating.

Looked so pretty, she needed some herself.

Decorating the couch with all the felt flowers I cut out for quiet books.

Discovery Gateway

A few weeks back we went to Discovery Gateway with Kira and Kylee. The girls had so much fun playing and being able to "get into" anything they saw.

First we played with blocks in the little house.

Kylee has such a good smile for the camera.

Then the girls found the water play area and were set for the day!

They played...

and played....

and played and splashed...

and played and splashed some more!

We did some more fun things, but the ladies moved so fast I didn't get any pictures. We had a really fun morning and a really good nap that day!

Easter Egg Hunts

The first one we did was at Grandma and Grandpa Gwilliam's with all the cousins. Grace had such a fun time looking for the eggs.
Reaching really, really high.

The loot.

Gracie's helper.

The little girls posing for pictures.

For the second hunt we went to Aunt Janis and Uncle Gord's house. The eggs were color coded - it was funny trying to keep the littlest ones only finding their color egg.

Sweet hiding job, eh?

Reeeeeeeaaaaaaach!

Grace loved having Mini running around. Here she is giving her some love.

The crew. How cute are the little girls holding hands on the end?

The loot. A while later, Grace and her cousin, Easton who is just a couple months younger than her were missing for a while. We quickly found them in the living room opening all of Easton's eggs and eating the candy from them. Apparently Grace can open candy wrappers all by herself!

Thanks everyone for such fun egg hunts!

She's Learned to Snuggle in Her Old Age

The other day Rob reminded me that when Grace was born her skin was really sensitive and it seemed to almost hurt her to be touched. So there was no stroking or really touching our brand new sweet newborn. We just had to hold her really tightly and not touch her skin a whole lot. When she was a baby she didn't love to snuggle either, she wanted to be in the action and we had to swaddle her to get any resemblance to snuggling. I am loving that now, her old 21-month-old self loves to snuggle with her mama. I reveled in the 15 minutes that I spent tonight just holding her and snuggling her and singing to her because that's all she wanted before bed. Even though she can climb out of her crib (as of tonight...grrr), bedtime is fast becoming my very favorite time of day.

Getting ready for bedtime tonight.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We are enjoying a wonderful weekend full of family and General Conference and the celebration of the sacrifice of our Lord. Grace also wanted to share a special Easter egg that she dyed with everyone (you might need to click on the photo if you can't see it clearly).

(So now, I think you all will forgive me for not doing too many posts recently...I just haven't quite been feeling like my energetic self!)
