Happy Halloween! We have had a fun Halloween weekend thus far!
It started out with the Joy School Halloween party at our house Friday morning. The kids did a parade and sang "I'm A Mean Old Witch With A Hat," "First You Take A Pumpkin" and "Oh Boy, I've Got Joy" for the parents. Then we ate cookies that we had decorated earlier in the school day.
Cherelle, Caleb, Anna, Evelyn and Grace
Of course, we had to make a Jack-O-Lantern.
Grace was so excited to do it, but didn't bargain for the slimy pumpkin insides...
I just love the picture of Grace's triumphant hand-on-the-hip when Dad was the one to pull all the nasties out. After seeing him do it for a while, she decided it wasn't so bad after all.
The pumpkin was dedicated (and somewhat fashioned after) Ruby, who didn't get to participate this year due to sleep schedules. See the cute little smiley round face similarities?
Grace wanted to be Rapunzel this year (like every other little girl). I made her a Pascal buddy and a wig that turned out awesomely but was too heavy to stay on, ha!
Grace and Eli (another joy school friend who couldn't be at the joy school party)
Me (witch), Grace (Rapunzel), Rob (cowboy), and Ruby (ladybug)
