A California Adventure {Part I}

We took Grace out of school a few days early before Christmas break to head to spend one last Christmas in California before my parents moved to Texas.

We found the best road trip food...salads in a jar! They were all prepared so we just had to keep them cool and shake and pour when the time came to eat them. So yummy and a great healthy alternative to so much nasty fast food on the drive. The trip was pretty uneventful. Emmi didn't love being trapped in her car seat for so long but did  pretty good job overall.

We got in on Wednesday evening and headed to Disney California Adventure Thursday morning. The kids weren't so thrilled to hop back into the car, but going to Disney was worth it. It was on Mom's bucket list and since they were moving we had to get it done before they moved. Brian and Eila and Faye made the trek out to California too and we had the best time!

It was so fun to fly over the orange orchards in Camarillo!

The kids rocked it at the dance party in Radiator Springs

We rode the carousel and Ariel's Grotto rides multiple times - they were a huge hit with the kids :)

The crowning excitement of the day was meeting Anna and Elsa. It was late and Ruby got a little nervous to meet them, but they were lovely and friendly and got some smiles out of Ruby.

We spent the night down in Anaheim and headed home the next morning. Ben loved using his Disney map on the drive home to tell us where to go so we wouldn't get lost. So helpful :)
