Well, my amazing Rob did it again. He packed more stuff than I ever thought possible into the van for a road trip.
Here we are on the road...yes, there are kids back there!
We spent Halloween night in Tucumcari, NM, then headed to Sedona to stay with Grandpa Easton and Jacqueline. It's always fun to stay with them because they feed us delicious home cooked food (a nice respite from fast food on the road!) and a comfortable place to stay and good company. Plus they have a dog and cat that the kids adore playing with.
Here we are at a rest stop somewhere in AZ enjoying a nice picnic.
We rolled into California in the late afternoon on Saturday and had another birthday party for Benji before tucking the kids in for a much needed sleep.
Brother loves him some cupcake!
On Sunday, we headed to Jalama Beach to stay for a night in one of their cabins, which will be it's own post.
Our lives for the next 9 months are all packed into 11 suitcases which promptly exploded all over my parents living room as soon as we pulled in, it seemed!
Grandpa taught Grace how to make delicious homemade bread
Ruby decided that she wanted "two ponies on the sides, one pony on top and three ponies in the back" and this is what we ended up with after much frustration on my part trying to catch the vision. She wanted her hair like this many times while we were in Cali. She also would wear multiple headbands and flower clips with it. I mean, if you're going to go big, why not go all in, right?
And Benji hates wearing hats, but he's so cute struggling to get it off :)
