Ruby is such a joy in our family. She brings so much energy and love and excitement and noise to our home. Ruby feels and acts and loves with her whole self which is often loud and energetic, but it's so real. We always know exactly what she is thinking. She is so incredibly creative. Give her some paper and tape and she can make anything - a house for her dolls, a kite, a dog bed, a costume, anything. She is a creator and inventor and artist. She is very creative and has an eye for design. I'm constantly amazed by what she comes up with. We sure do love her!

We headed to San Antonio after presents and had such a good time! We stayed downtown in an old bank building with the original vaults open for display. We loved the river walk and exploring a new place.

Ruby was really happy to pick out the flavors of bundt birthday cake on the way down.

The vaults in the basement were really cool...Look at those hinges on the doors!

The next morning we headed out to the Alamo and to explore the river walk more. There were some neat live historical people there to bring it to life.

The kids loved the koi fish that ran through the complex. They were huge and beautiful!

We did a boat tour to see the whole river walk that we weren't able to walk ourselves.

The next morning before heading home we visited all of the Texas missions. It was kind of rainy so we didn't explore them all, but it was really interesting to see them.
